Pedigree & DNA Testing Disclaimer
At Pine Tree Hill Farms, we are committed to providing transparent and accurate information about the health, ancestry and genetic testing of our Border Collies.
The parentage and known pedigree of our breeding dogs is documented to the extent of the records available to us, with ancestry known for at least three generations. As with any pedigree extending beyond personally verified records, we cannot independently guarantee the accuracy or completeness of historical ancestry information supplied by previous breeders or pedigree sources.
Our breeding dogs undergo DNA testing through Orivet for relevant inherited genetic conditions. These results relate specifically to the genes and variants included within the testing panel at the time of testing. DNA screening significantly improves our ability to make informed breeding decisions; however, no genetic test can guarantee that a dog is free from every possible inherited condition, unidentified genetic variant or future health issue.
Any references to pedigree, ancestry or genetic status on this website are therefore based on the best verified information and testing available to us at the time.
